Abstract


THE IMPORTANCE OF WORKPLACE ACCIDENTS AND OCCUPATIONAL DISEASES AND THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF SOCIAL PARTNERS AT ECONOMIC GROWTH

The economic growth is an increase in the production capacity of a country. The increase in production is closely related to developments in industry In addition, industrialization is a determining indicator of the level of development of countries. At the present time, we see a trasition of developed countries from the industrial to the service sector, while developing countries have grown up in the industrial sector. Industrialization provides countries a number of benefits for the development, while at the same time it brings a number of threats. Developing countries face a rapid migration from rural to urban for employment. Due to the lack of qualified staff, there is a difficulty of the adaptation of jobs where workers are working at, and is no adequate job control. As a result, it is known that there has been a rapid increase in the number of occupational accidents and occupational diseases. In developed countries, the negative working environments that the employees are facing with in the service sector face the empoyees with some risks again. In our country, it is possible to be able to prevent and even being prevented at the legally obligatory works every year. Unfortunately, many people lose their lives or are disabled because of occupational accidents and occupational diseases. For the person who is one of the indispensable principles of manufacturing, the loss of worker's accidents and occupational diseases causes the direct productivity decrease, costs increase and also causes great loss in the economy of the country. For this reason, this study is important in terms of revealing the importance of occupational accidents and occupational diseases and the responsibilities of social partners. In light of the information obtained, this research gives suggestions on prevention of occupational accidents and occupational diseases.
