The jewelries that appeal the instincts of seeing and possessing the beauty existing in human beings are quite various and differ in materials and techniques. Kombucha fungus thickens in the tea solution depending on the time of fermentation and takes the shape of the container where it is conducted in; when it is dried, obtained structure turns into a leather-like, cellulosic material. In terms of the appearance and flexibility, utilization and sustainability, the mentioned material is suitable for making accessories manufacturing such as jewelry, etc. In our study, necklace made of leather-like, cellulosic material acquired from Kombucha fungus is created through the lace art in handicraft techniques and assessed upon the aesthetic interpretations of people belonging to various occupation, age and gender groups.
